A few of the projects to be funded by the Perpetua Foundation:
Creating a youth mentoring program based on knowledge of natural
resources.
Funding transportation for educational field trips to Cape Perpetua Scenic
Area. School field trips have always been an excellent way for us to connect
school age children with nature, but the state budget crisis has reduced the
number of field trips that may be paid for by the public schools.
Updating exhibits and facilities at the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center.
Providing interpretive signage on the Giant Spruce Trail. This is one of
the most heavily used trails within the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area and offers
a great opportunity to connect visitors to the natural resources of the
area.
