Yachats is your gateway to outdoor adventure and exploration! Most of the coastline in and around Yachats consists of volcanic basalt perfect for tide pooling and also offering incredible natural areas like Devil’s Churn and Thor’s Well. Vast stretches of sandy beach can be found to the north and south of town and are ideal for beach-combing, fat-tire biking, and kite flying. Cape Perpetua is located just south of Yachats and affords one of the best viewpoint of the Pacific Ocean on the Oregon Coast. Miles of hiking trails wind through town, along the coastline, and into the rainforest, where you can forage for mushrooms and berries, and view deer, elk, migrating seabirds, and a wide selection of other wildlife.
